36th Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights

Every year in December the San Diego Port presents the Parade of Lights in San Diego Bay. I suggest going to Ferry Landing, taking a chair, grabing a cup of hot chocolate and make sure you have a sweater! The spectacular show starts off with fireworks followed by the parade of glowing boats that will light up the crowd. The ideas and creativity put into the light displays will definitely impress. The parade is an awesome family event. For me, the annual boat parade marks the beginning of the Christmas season in true San Diego fashion. Hope to see you all out there.

Theme: A PIRATES CHRISTMAS

When: Sunday, Dec.9 & Sunday, Dec. 16 5:30 PM until 9:00 PM

Route:
Shelter Island (start of parade) - 5:30pm
Harbor Island - 6pm
The Embarcadero - 6:30pm
Seaport Village - 7pm

HAVE A GREAT TIME OUT THERE!!

Golf Course Is A Must Play....During Any Season!

Opened in 1957, Coronado Municipal Golf Course continues to reign as one of the finest public golf courses in Southern California. The fantastic year-round weather in Coronado offers players of all levels an enjoyable outing. Of the 80 or so courses in San Diego County, Coronado Golf Course and Torrey Pines Golf Course are the only courses bordering the Pacific Ocean, and provide for astounding views and the challenge of the sea breeze. The couse is well-manicured and sparse palms, oleanders and eucalipti allign the already narrow fairways so, you may find yourself firing your second shot from a neighboring fairway or from behind a tree if you're not careful. Bunkering is not overwhelming, but the sand is soft and therefore may produce difficult buried lies. Overall, it's a relatively short course with it's fair share of challenges!

This course is stunning and the views are spectacular. The course has four holes along the scenic Glorietta Bay and the 16th hole is considered one of the most beautiful holes in San Diego County. Greenskeeper.org has voted Coronado the best value in SanDiego County for the past 3 years. Recently the San Diego Union-Tribune gave it a 10 out of 10 rating. Based on annual rounds played, the Coronado Municipal Golf Course is the busiest golf course in California so book your tee time in advance. If you're new to the Course I would just pick up the phone and ask about the reservation system since it isn't very straight forward.
